TrialWorks SQL

|
|
|
TrialWorks was developed in the
early 1990's by an experienced trial
attorney working on cases that
involved handling large amounts of
documents and data. Since then
TrialWorks has evolved to become the
ultimate solution for any sized
firm.
TrialWorks database is set up to
mirror the legal file cabinet and
can easily convert a practice into a
paperless file office. The heart of
the program is the relocation of a
litigators file cabinet into your
computer, using the
file-folder-with-tabs metaphor that
lawyers prefer. Thus, the main
screen for each case has tabs for
Correspondence, Pleadings,
Depositions, Documents and other
relevant functions in a litigators
practice. TrialWorks
transforms the mass of paper in your
file cabinet into quickly
searchable, sortable databases,
saving vast amounts of time, cost
and effort.
-
Easy-to-use tab format.
-
Create legal documents
-
Quickly find documents, images
and forms you need. Documents
and images are easily scanned
into the appropriate tab.
-
Keep track of trial dates,
depositions, document due dates,
and events (Microsoft Outlook
compatible).
-
Track E-mail
-
Generate frequently used
documents at the touch of a
button.
-
Automate repetitive tasks and
eliminate duplication of effort.
-
Boost your office productivity.
-
The Case Wizard easily guides
you through the creation of a
new case or matter.

TrialWorks SQL uses Microsoft SQL
Server 2000/2005 to host the
database. Documents (generated
docs, scans, and pictures, and
e-mail*) are stored in a Windows
directory structure that is managed
by TrialWorks. All documents
are linked to their respective
records. Such design ensures
efficient function as well as
consistency and integrity of our
database.
The
client-side of TrialWorks SQL
(version 9.0 and below) uses
Microsoft Office Components as a
backbone. TrialWorks 10.0
(available sometime in 2007) changes
to a more modern design utilizing
ASP.NET and VB.NET frameworks.
To
operate across WANs and to support
multiple offices TrialWorks can be
easily configured to run on Windows
Terminal Server and/or Citrix
Server. Although
TrialWorks can work across VPN, the
large amount of data results in
decreased performance.
