We have successfully converted data from Abacus, Access, ACT, Amicus, Caselode, Clipper, DocsOpen, E-Pitts, Excel, File Maker Pro, Goldmine, Legal Files, LegalEdge, LexPI, Needles, Paradox, PCLaw, Perfect Practice, PILS, PiPro, PracticeMaster/Tabs, Prevail, ProLaw, Saga, TimeMatters, TimeSlips, WorldDocs. The process is relatively simple for you, the customer. After a Case Management Specialist from the TrialWorks staff is assigned to work on the project the following steps will be taken to convert data:
- Lawex/TrialWorks obtains your current data and begins analysis. At this stage we determine the amount of data that will need to be converted, it's overall health, and address any aspects that are unique to your information.
- After the assessment and invoice is prepared based on the complexity of the conversion. The customer has the choice of paying it and scheduling a tentative "go-live" date.
- Our database engineers build routines that align your old information with screens in the TrialWorks database. This process can take from a few days to a few weeks depending on the data.
- The initial "proof" data is uploaded to a test environment for customer review. The customer and a Case Management Specialist will go through all of the data for accuracy and content. Conversion issues are noted for further processing.
- Routines are adjusted and re-applied to correct any data quality problems. This step is repeated until the data has been converted to maximum attainable accuracy and precision.
- The data goes live on the designated date; typically this parallels training.
