I started researching Case Management software in 2001. After over 24 months of trying demonstration software by several companies I received a call from Rob Steinberg of Lawex asking what I thought of his product, Trialworks. I told him my main complaint of all the case management programs was that they appeared to be designed for plaintiff’s law practices and we were an Insurance defense civil practice.
Mr. Steinberg asked me about my complaints about his software and others. A few months later Mr. Steinberg called me back and asked me to try a demonstration of his newest version of Trialworks (this was in 2003). I was amazed at the changes he made to accommodate an insurance defense practice. We purchased Trialworks and implemented it in early 2004.
It is late 2011 now and my lawyers and staff would be lost without Trialworks. With the help of the good folks at Trialworks we have templates for most of the letters, pleadings, discovery and other documents we routinely prepare. The organization of the Trialworks software saves us hundreds (if not thousands) of hours in locating file information and keep it at our fingertips. Since our Court system has gone paperless and most everyone communicates with email, Trialworks is perfect for our business.
While investing in any Case Management program is usually a somewhat expensive investment, we have recovered our investment in Trialworks several times over. Best of all, the good people of Trialworks continue to make changes to their software to make it user friendly and compatible with the other software we use in our business. I highly recommend Trialworks for any litigation firm.
